Amazon will once again allow third-party sellers to use FedEx Ground and Home delivery services for Prime orders, the company said Tuesday. Itlast month, reported as "a performance decline."
The e-commerce giant sent an email to the seller saying that starting Tuesday at 2pm. PT, FedEx Ground and Home will be ready for sellers to complete Prime orders. An Amazon representative confirmed the details. CNBC has previously reported the news.
Amazon said last month that it has blocked sellers from using FedEx Ground and Home shipments for Prime to ensure customers receive their packages on Christmas. Those shipping options are still available for standard shipments and sellers are still allowed to use FedEx Express for Prime orders.
The company said it will restore Ground and Home options to Prime orders when "the delivery performance of these ship modes is improved". Amazon now says these shipping options always meet the company's on-time delivery requirements.
