The SpaceX crew Dragon Demo-2 mission has been executed smoothly so far by NASA. Astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley at the end of May, and now they are ready to return as early as Sunday, if the weather cooperates.
Returning to Earth takes a bit of time and NASA will be on the way with a live broadcast NASA television.
Rainy weather at potential Atlantic splash locations can complicate schedules. "We will monitor the weather very carefully. We have a series of websites and many days. If we do not remove on Saturday to go home on Sunday, we will move on to Monday," NASA commercial crew program director Steve Stich said in a statement on Wednesday.
