Each new generation of video game consoles has promised more detailed images, more immersive experiences and more ambitious games. With Microsoft's next-generation Xbox, formerly known as Project Scarlett and, by 2020, there is a lot of anticipation for what it will bring.
What we already know is that it will be much faster, downloading games in a fraction of the time usually required, thanks to the custom storage technology that Microsoft is building for the console. It will also provide new visual effects, called ray tracing, that allow light and sunlight to look more realistic. It will also look more, just like a normal PC, and not the boisterous game machine we've been used to seeing over the years.
And we know that there's a new part in the epic Halo space space war that's being developed for the console. We do not know much about the game, called Halo: InfiniteIn addition, it will again include series heroes – Master Chief – and Halo ring world.
